​Yuki Ogasawara

Tokyo-born, Yuki Ogasawara began ballet at Tokyo Ballet School at 8 years old. She then received a dance education from Kirov Academy of Ballet and Edison Ballet School. She received the silver medal at the Youth America Grand Prix and World Ballet Compton Orlando in 2007. 

In 2008, she received the gold medal at Youth America Grand Prix Japan. At the same time, she signed a contract with Dresden SemperOper Ballet in Germany. In 2015, Ogasawara was promoted to coryphee then joined the Theatre du Capitole de Toulouse in France in 2017, at the direction of former principal dancer of Paris Opera, Kader Belarbi. 

During her career, she has worked directly with William Forsythe, Jiri Kilian, John Neumeier, Alexei Ratmanskuy, Mats Ek, Alexander Ekman, Stejin Delis, David Dawson, and Cynthia Harvey. 

In 2020, Yuki Ogasawara obtained her classical ballet teacher state diploma in Paris. Currently, she is a freelancer and guest instructor in Tokyo, teaching at places like Architanz. She has also been a judge for the FLAP Ballet Competition. 

In 2023, Ogasawara was appointed as a director of the UNITED DANCE JAPAN association.
